Quite honestly, this is one of the more bizarre, absurd gaming stories we’ve seen in some time.
One of the most famous GTA actors was swatted during his Thanksgiving livestream.
Ned Luke, known to GTA 5 fans as the voice behind Michael De Santa, was live-streaming his gaming action on YouTube when suddenly, he said, “I gotta go.”
De Santa apparently got a call warning him of what was about to go down. The moment left a grip of streamers perplexed by what happened.
De Santa has 60,000 YouTube subscribers, but we’re unsure how many were on when the s#$t when down.
In case you aren’t familiar with the term, “swatting;” it simply means someone reports a fake 911 incident at your resident claiming you’re up to something pretty hideous which requires a massive police response. Famously, swatting incidents have resulted in swat teams breaking down doors of homes only to find a lone gamer gaming out.
Swatting calls have gotten so bad that the FBI created a nationwide database to track them.
“The FBI takes swatting very seriously because it puts innocent people at risk,” a FBI spokeperson told Fox News in September. “We will continue to work with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to gather, share, and act upon threat information as it comes to our attention.”
Immediately following the incident, some people accused Rockstar Games of being at fault, claiming they didn’t mask De Santa’s IP address. But De Santa strongly denies that Rockstar Games has any fault in the incident.
“Y’all jumping to some large a– conclusions,” Luke replied to one user. “This had nothing to do with Rockstar.”
These a–holes leaked my private info years ago and have been doing this s– since,” Luke continued. “Anyone’s info is available online if you are sick enuff to really wanna find it.”
Folks, just chill and be nice and game on. What the heck are some of ya’ll jerks doing?
