Helldivers 2 fans can rejoice: the latest Warbond may be a whole lot better than past ones.
This isn’t to say that past Warbonds weren’t good, it’s only to say that the new Viper Commandos Warbond is reportedly pretty great. It will release on June 13th. Arrowhead Game Studios claims it took into account lots of feedback and this Warbond will be a shift in the developer’s creations and focus on better quality.
Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 is a cooperative third-person shooter where players unite to defend Super Earth from a variety of alien adversaries. Throughout diverse landscapes and against formidable enemies, players strategize together to overcome challenges. Since launch, Helldivers 2 has received consistent updates to improve the player experience, including raising the level cap, introducing new environmental hazards, and refining gameplay elements.
This warbond includes a new Liberator carbine, a bushwhacker shotgun, new armor, a throwing knife, and a Viper shuttle. The new passive is called Peak Physique and improves melee damage and weapon handling.
The community manager, Baskinger, has confirmed that there will be a blog post coming out sometime this month about Helldivers 2.
The CEO of Arrowhead, Shams Georgian, has mentioned on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he is starting a new series called Lunch and Learnings. The first topic will be about building a healthy relationship with the players and partners. In his post, Georgian also mentioned that the developers are aware that the players are unhappy with the recent nerfs to weapons. He said that the developers are planning on taking the feedback into consideration and making changes in the future updates.
Anyways, for Helldivers 2 fans, there’s a lot to be excited about early in the summer months.
