Have you ever done something amazing while playing a Steam game and thought, “I wish all my gaming friends had seen that?” Or perhaps you made a hilarious mistake and wanted to share it for a good laugh. Now, Steam is making it much easier to share these moments. And we couldn’t be happier about it.
Team is launching a new beta update that adds more features to the gameplay recording tool in the PC launcher. It will let you record and edit and of course, share, super cool gaming happenings. And the better news is that it will work on Steam Deck, as well.
You’ve always been able to share screenshots with other players. But adding in gameplay capture is a real, well, game changer, as we might say.
The Steam Game Regarding tools will let players record gameplay in any game – yep, this means non-Steam games as well. You use the overlay to record the game as its in progress.
Now, this won’t be available to any and all right away. If you’re interested in it, you’ll need to sign up for Steam beta which will automatically opt you in. You can find that in Steam’s settings under “interface.”After Steam restarts, you’re a highlight machine.
