Warning: The following video is going to make you realize there are super smart people out there and we may not be among them. But that’s OK, because they’re doing all the cool work and we can play with it.
YouTuber DIY Perks builds the first PlayStation 5 tablet. In doing so, he shows all the intricacies involved in achieving this super fun result.
He starts by showing how small the PlayStation 5’s motherboard is compared to the original console.
He then goes on to show how they were able to make the PlayStation 5 portable by shrinking down the components and using a different cooling system.
He used a heat sink, heat pipes, and fans to keep the PlayStation 5 cool.
He also had to modify the power supply and add a screen. The final product is a PlayStation 5 that is about the size of a tablet and can be powered by a single cable.
And now, he’s suggesting that Sony make one themselves. Maybe he’s inspired them? Let’s all hope.
Check it out for yourselves.
