Many among us have an infatuation with gaming. That’s no secret. Gaming addiction runs rampant. But that’s neither here nor there. What we’re talking about today is celebrities who you probably didn’t know dig gaming.
A lot of celebrities use their rare downtime for gaming. And some for dabbling in the swinger lifestyle (hey, it’s Hollywood).
For a stressed out celebrity, gaming offers a unique escape. Why get a massage when you can dive balls deep into Mario Kart or Call of Duty. Gaming’s immersive appeal is exactly right for escapism and stress relief.
Here’s a list of celebrities who dig gaming.
Rosario Dawson
Her first big hit was the infamous movie, Kids. She’s since graced the screen in Tarantino’s Death Proof, Men in Black 2, and Sin City. She’s got quite the resume and of course, a busy schedule.
But that doesn’t stop Rosario from gaming it up in her free time.
Rosario is the star of Dying Light 2.
She truly digs gaming and all the complex quests which go with it. In fact, Rosario was the central figure in advocating for a female addition to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. That’s pretty dope, ya’ll.
Still no word if Rosario will open up a Twitch account.
Samuel L. Jackson
Samuel L. Jackson was once featured in an epic soundboard. Like, epic. Meaning, it wasn’t really him, but people were ticked.
That said, Samuel digs Assasin’s Creed and Call of Duty, according to reports. He’s not overly public regarding his gaming infatuation.
Daniel Craig
Its Bond, James Bond.
While Daniel Craig may not appreciate game night (see the SNL video below), he does apparently love Halo.
Matthew Perry
Matthew Perry’s run on Friends cast him as one of the most famous TV stars of all time. But the actor has always been known for having a bit of an addictive personality. Apparently, that extends to the gaming world.
Matthew plays so much Fallout 3 that he developed carpel tunnel syndrome. Not good, Matthew.
“I play a lot of video games; I play a lot of Xbox 360. I played Fallout 3so often I had to go get injections in my hand.” He said.
He also desires a relationship with a girl who is down with gaming.
Brie Larson
Brie loves gaming so much, she teaches it. In this video, Brie operates from her gaming cave to teach Tessa Thompson how to play Fortnite. And it’s incredible. Brie is an excellent teacher! She says she played about 300 hours during the pandemic, but otherwise can’t keep count of her gaming hours.
Boy, Brie, do we know the feeling!
Brie definitely aims to be the final boss of Fortnite. Which is dope. Brie clearly loves winning.
Will Arnett
The Arrested Development star is known for his love for Call of Duty.
He loves it so much he’s the voice over in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. That’s a lot of love, folks.
Megan Fox
Actress Megan Fox is one of the sexiest women in the world, at least, if you ask the mainstream media. She’s apparently really great at Mortal Combat.
Like, so great she brags about “destroying” her boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly, at the game.
“He’s not a big gamer, he’s obviously a musician spending, like, every second of his life working and touring, [so] he never really got into games,” Fox says. “However, boys just naturally assume that they’re gonna be better than you at gaming, it’s just for whatever reason. It’s just this thing that exists out there.”
“He’d never seen me play … so we got the latest Mortal Kombat, we downloaded it, and I crushed him,” she adds laughing. “Like, destroyed him every time we fought. We did, like, 40 something matches, and I absolutely destroyed him every time.”
Jamie Lee Curtis
At first, this seems super surprising. Until you consider that Curtis is sort of the that edgy personality (at least, her movies are). Curtis learned to play Street Fighter from her son and she’s been a big fan ever since.
Drake
The musician and Toronto Raptors’ owner loves him some Fortnite. He’s even went so far as to work with Twitch streamer, Ninja. The stream yielded over 600,000 views, which broke a record.
