Google Will Create Gaming Chromebooks at Affordable Pricing

Google’s Chromebook has long been a popular web device for people seeking to save some money. Now, Google has announced it’s going to launch Chromebooks for gaming. We’d expect the enticing economics to work favorably here, also.

Google says it’s working with Asus, Acer, and Lenovo, to build gaminc-centric Chromebooks. These gamer Chromebooks will hook into cloud services such as ones offered by Nvidia and Xbox. Yes, that means subscriptions, but the machine should be a more economic purchase and save people money. Depending on your desired specs, expect to pay $399–$799. Not bad, my friends.

Let’s look over some of these potential specs as per Google’s presser.

And alas, there’s more.

Googles gaming Chromebooks are built to work better with cloud gaming services. So expect a speedier experience all the way around as well as launcher search integration which means you’ll find the games you’re looking for much faster. At some point, you’ll open the Chromebook packaging and it will be a cinch to connect to cloud gaming, but we aren’t there, yet.

Clearly, Google isn’t done with cloud gaming in the slightest even in light of the Stadia news. Ah yes, the most provocative aspect in Google’s new Chromebook is that Google is taking down it’s subscription cloud service called Stadia.

Apparently, Google likes to keep us all on our toes. Who knew? Basically, we all did.

Gaming devices are all the rage these days. The new Steam handheld gaming device is now a top seller in the market.

For most people, buying a gaming Chromebook will be all about saving that cash. Chromebooks have a reputation for decent quality at a great price point. Clearly, the same will be true for the new gaming Chromebooks. You’ll be able to order them online or purchase them at Best Buy.

Saving money is a pretty big deal in this economy and the gaming market seems to recognize that. So we might expect more competitive pricing all the way around.
We expect gaming Chromebooks to hit the shelves at stores this month in some cases, particularly with Lenovo’s version. Get pumped you discount gaming shoppers, better times ahead. And Google’s confirming the sentiment saying it hopes reducing the entry level into gaming brings in new gamers.
