Gamers are pissed off that GTA 6’s release date remains a mystery even after reports claimed it could come out by the end of October.
Well, Happy Halloween folks, and BOO, there is still no GTA 6.
Rumors were swirling earlier in the month that GTA 6 would find it’s way to gamers by October’s end earlier in the month. This amid a series of GTA 6 delay rumors. Overall, Rockstar games has both chaos and hype on its hands now as gamers become more and more anxious for the 6th installation of their prized series.
Of course, there’s still time for October to serve as the release date. Maybe Halloween even is the perfect opportunity for Rockstar Games to announce that indeed, GTA 6 has arrived. October has been a popular month for Rockstar Games to release games, so much so they’ve been called “Rocktober.” But now suddenly, the clock winds down and gaming pundits have no reason to believe that the next several days will bring about one of the gaming industry’s most anticipated release.
The mystery, as a whole, is ticking people off more than it’s increasing hype.
Many subreddit’s are filled with now dismal tones regarding whether or not October will indeed serve as GTA 6’s launchpad month. The hype for an October release was palpable and in some cases, accepted as truth. But now the hype machine is turning into a polarizing, contempt-riddled, depressing matter.
But alas, the GTA series has one of the most rabid fan followings in the history of gaming, and maybe of media, so it’s unlikely that these delays will bring about any negative consequences for Rockstar in terms of its relationship with fans. That said, GTA 6 is supposed to be one of the most expensive games to produce ever. The longer it’s delayed, the more the financials are delayed, and more unsettled shareholders and executives become. And that could “drive” a GTA 6 release much sooner than later. But only time will tell.
